The Social Cooperative Enterprise “Netics” actively participated in the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11–22, 2024. As part of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), “Netics” represented the voices of civil society, committing to ensuring that marginalized and vulnerable groups are included in global climate solutions.
The participation of “Netics” focused on critical issues such as climate finance, just transitions, and inclusive action. The organization aimed to amplify calls for stronger commitments and prioritize social and environmental justice in climate negotiations. By engaging in this platform, “Netics” contributed to advancing policies that ensure the inclusion of local communities and social enterprises in the development of global climate strategies.
Participation in COP29 provided a significant opportunity for “Netics” to collaborate with other civil society actors, organizations, and governmental representatives, reinforcing the commitment to a just and sustainable climate transition that leaves no one behind.
